Parents with advanced-stage cancer go through a lot. So do their young children. We provide these families with one fun, cost-free day to enjoy making memories together.
More than 5 million children in the United States have a parent battling cancer.

We help families forget about cancer and focus on quality time together for just One Day.
One Day to Remember was founded in 2016 by an oncology nurse in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. After seeing the particular pain and suffering experienced by young children whose parents were fighting advanced-stage disease, she decided to dedicate her life to establishing a nonprofit organization to provide resources for these children in their darkest hour.
We understand the need for a break from treatment, financial stress, and worry about the future—especially for children on this journey with a parent. We also understand how hard it can be for families facing this stress to coordinate this kind of respite on their own.
That’s where we come in.
What would you do for One Day?
Every One Day to Remember outing is specifically curated for each individual family, taking their unique interests and needs/abilities into consideration.
